This is a 4km loop starting and ending at Conservation Hut in Wentworth Falls, NSW.
There is limited parking at Conservation Hut. You may find parking 5min drive away at the Wentworth Falls Picnic Area which is also a good starting point since it is right on the trail.
The track is well signposted and is in the middle of some major upgrades (15/8/2020) including large sandstone stepping stones across some of the more muddy parts of the track. There are a lot of steps with a total elevation loss/gain of about 400m.
The WildWalks guide suggests about 2 hours, which is how long it took us at a leisurely pace with frequent stopping at lookouts. I don’t recommend this walk for young children because, at some points, one step off the track leads to a steep slope and a huge cliff.
Fantastic scenery of vast valley views to Mt Solitary, rugged, sandstone cliffs, dripping caves and streams and the great Wentworth Falls make this a very enjoyable walk. Highly recommended!
Great walk! Love your photos too. Esp that bit of Survivor-moss!
Yay for survivor moss!
Such a nice place.
